A New Chapter for The Woolpatch

Welcome to the new website of The Woolpatch, the home of Lavenham Blue Yarn and all things YouTube.

The bricks and mortar shop closed at the end of August 2026 after 10 years, but The Woolpatch is still continuing here online, on YouTube and around the UK!

I wanted to take the opportunity to thank everyone in the community for your support and custom over the ten years I have run the shop. Thank you too for all of your kind comments about The Woolpatch window displays over the years; I have tried to make the shop window a focal point of interest in the village; I am particularly proud of the Olympic-themed hens, World Cup teddies, and annual remembrance displays.

Whilst the ‘bricks and mortar’ shop has come to an end, The Woolpatch will continue!

  • ‘Knit and Natter’ sessions are carrying on at the village scout and guide headquarters every Friday.
  • Lavenham Blue hand-dyed yarn will still be available here online and from the yarn festivals I will be attending across the country in the coming years.
  • The Woolpatch YouTube channel will also continue!

One day, I hope that I will find a premises large enough to set up a physical shop again where I would have the space to showcase the Lavenham Blue dying process; until then I will value your ongoing support in my continuing adventures in the yarn and crafting world!

If you have been a customer at some point over the last 10 years, thank you for this, I hope I served you well. Maybe I'll see you at Knit and natter Fridays? If you have been supporting the shop by watching on YouTube, thank you for this too!  Maybe you'll keep watching and I'll see you on the next video!

I have always believed that crafting can bring people together and will continue to promote that through all my future adventures! It has been a pleasure and a privilege to be part of such a wonderful community.
