Make a Lantern for the Olde Christmas Lantern Parade.

It is now tradition that there is a lantern parade to finish off the Long Melford Olde Christmas.  The road is closed and we all walk down the street with our lit lanterns to the Village sign where the Christmas tree stands and we light the Christmas tree and celebrate.

We are very aware that many of the lanterns which are bought and sold can be dangerous to wildlife, so our lanterns are just fun card lanterns which you can make in half an hour and lit with a torch.  We don't let off our lanterns.  It's just a nice effect of everyone holding their lanterns in the dusk light, snow and cold singing Christmas carols!!!  Lovely!!

You can pop in anytime to The Woolpatch to make your lantern.  You can take as long as you like decorating it.  All equipment is supplied and included in the price.  Once you make your lantern, you keep it and we'll look forward to seeing you at the parade on Sunday!
